Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This daughter of an Albino mother and Neotropical father lost her parents in the great Halloween massacre of '13. Which, truth be told, was not a big loss for her, as her parents lacked even the most basic parenting instincts (which did not improve at all when her mother came back from the dead as a Zombie).

As she didn't even have a proper name, the human who showed up and wrote things about her on some kind of scroll just referred to her as "Orphan Girl". If it wasn't for that human, she might even have shared the fate of her two Neotropical sisters—one was attacked by a Vampire Dragon, the other one wandered away while the parents weren't looking (which was all the time) and got lost in the wilderness.

By the time her youngest sister, an Albino, was bred, Orphan Girl was finally old enough to take the egg away and raise her sister herself; this is probably how they escaped the dragonslayer who killed their parents.

Orphan Girl developed a caring and self-reliant personality.
