Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Preferring the frosty chill of Winter, Chris Mistletoe is something of a hermit. Every year, around Christmas, the solitary dragon emerges from his cave to wing his way down to nearby villages. He uses his icy breath to decorate the trees and roofs with beautiful, crystalline icicles. Each year, attempting to perfect his designs to attract the mate he has been searching for.

It is only when Chris is satisfied with his ice-sculpture decorations that he will pause to rest, seeking out a friendly home to share a winter feast with. While he is there, he regales the younger residents of the town with tales of winter past, filling their hearts and minds with hope and cheer for their Christmas morning.

As the season draws to an end, Chris wings off, back to his home, but never without leaving beautifully wrapped presents for the children of his chosen village, each resembling his own unique wing pattern.
