Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Though most dragons are not particularly social, Barb takes her independence to an extreme. She learned to appreciate time to herself when Ferwe, the god-founder of Ferwe Weyr, stopped teaching Januset and Barb together and began teaching her the more advanced magics suited to a magi dragon. (A process which required much solitary study and experimentation.) Barb spends most of her time traveling, using the long, solitary periods "on the road" to master ever more varied and powerful magics, particularly those associated with travel. Like her magics, the reasons for her travels have become extremely eclectic and she's willing give herself to any task needed.

Though Barb is one of the elders of Ferwe Weyr she cares little for the associated social or political duties and usually delegates them to Argentorus. (Much to the despair of Guerisseur who feels Barb should be more active in those areas.)
