Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Timea is a benevolent dragon. He rarely shows himself to humans, but does nothing to directly harm them. Leaves, soil, tree roots, and fish from a nearby stream constitute most of his diet. He only eats meat when he can't find anything else to sustain himself. If given to him or traded for his knowledge of gems and ores, he enjoys a barrel of good mead, a cauldron of porridge, a vat of cream or milk, or several wheels of cheese. By merely sniffing it, Timea can tell what kind of crop will grow in a certain soil. He does not keep a hoard of jewels or currency, instead sharing his knowledge with other creatures who know how to approach him for things he needs or wants. Anyone foolish enough to rape the earth with strip mining or clear-cutting will find their tools missing or meet Timea himself face-to-face. Timea learned much of his wisdom from his grandmother, Etherna, and mother, Cullen Skink.
