Shadow Walkers are a strange breed that possess the ability to slip between the planes of reality, becoming immaterial. This allows them to hide in the shadows, either hunting from the concealment of near invisibility or evading enemies. Though they become corporeal to mate or to eat, they spend most of the rest of their lives walking in the shadows. Shadow Walkers are wary creatures, though on dark autumn evenings when the leaves fall to swirl in the chill, rain damp air, they may be seen drifting out from the shadows.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

1.21 GiGGAwatts got interested in time travel after she met irWhO, a fellow shadow walker with a fondness for adventure. They took a trip through wyrm rift into the confluence of three mutually-exclusive possible futures and ended up working together along with with some of the locals to stabilise the underlying structure of timespace to prevent reality from being torn apart. 1.21 GiGG4watts stayed in the future to study time magic with some dragons whose species hasn't evolved yet in present-day Valkemare while irWhO went straight into her next adventure. The two remain friends, and 1.21 GiGG4watts has slowly begun adventuring back through time in her own way, planning on eventually returning home to the time she left. She thinks she may have overshot, however, and is now a few centuries before she hatched. Either that, or there was an apocalypse that reversed scientific and magical progress which she is about to get to, and then things will look familiar again. She's not sure which.
