Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called “pods.” Blunas are very curious and playful creatures and several dragons in a pod will often “play” with one other, chasing each other around, tossing seaweed back and forth, and riding ocean swells. They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Monstrous Waves loves the Extremes, a chain of islands surrounded by deep trenches, fast currents, and tall waves. The waves were as powerful as tsunamis so even if a human had survived one of them, he would be instantly pulled back under. The currents would pull him into the depths and kill him. Even the most powerful dragons have only ever heard of it in legends. But a tiny clan of Two-Fins lives near the islands. However, there were only five left since they could not defy the waves' strength. When he hatched, a storm had killed every last member of the clan, leaving him without family. Pure luck had carried him through the years. After years of being desperately alone, he couldn't believe his luck. Out in the distance, there was a savagely beautiful Two-Fin looking for a thrill. They locked eyes for a moment, and it was love at first sight. Now after years of avoiding the waves that had killed his clan, he flew among them with his mate.
