Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Calabein is a handsome, driven dragon. He spends most of his time politicking, hunting, and experimenting with his vast arsenal of magic. He inherited his intellect from his sire and his immense ego from his dam. Calabein is amicable to all the dragons, but they know he harbors a hidden agenda. After all, Calabein aims to be the most powerful Magi dragon in the realm. Like all power seekers, he realizes without the other dragons' support it will be near impossible to achieve this goal. Wisely, few of the other dragons fully trust him, but all certainly attempt to remain on his 'good' side. Because like his mother Calabaz, although he may be slow to anger, when his temper flares, it packs a mighty wallop indeed.
