Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ligier is a close companion to Malfeas, so close that they are said to speak with one voice. The Frill has sworn fealty on his own blood and magic, and does everything in his power to support Malfeas, though the older dragon's habit of dancing in public embarrasses him deeply.

Ligier has learned a magic unusual for a Frilled dragon—he can set his wings and frills to glowing with a brilliant emerald light. Since the city of Malfeas is sunk in the depths of their prison-cave, this makes him a favored presence within its walls. Without his light, even the most sharp-eyed dragon would have trouble seeing past its own claw-tip.

Ligier spends most of his time aloft and circling, shedding his green glow down onto the city in exchange for the veneration of its inhabitants. His lair-ledge is set high on a wall, so that even in his sleep, he illuminates the cave.
