Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gypsy is consider the mother of all Metallics and Tinsels on the scroll. She is small and rather plump, but she is strict in politeness and manners. Despite mothering a few dragons, and possible of more in the future, Gyspy considers the two Metals and other tinsels to be her children. Gyspy took special care of both Calliope the Gold and Bijou the Silver, and trained them to be nice ladies and to shine with more then just their scales.
