Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Astra is the loving yet fierce protector of the kingdom of Night. The humans in this kingdom have long since suffered under the rigid oppression from their neighbours of Day, a people so obsessed with rules and security that their army preemptively attacked Night time and again. Being an extreme individualist and a gentle soul Astra couldn't stand to watch the helpless peace-loving citizens of Night suffer so she became their protector and guide. She holds court regularly to advise those who want her help but she refuses to touch upon the age old laws and customs of "her" country. But whenever Day feels the need to "secure" their borders, she will be there to send them and their dragon king back where they belong.

Little do her loyal subjects know that Astra and the King of Night share a complicated relationship, torn between passionate desire and abysmal hate.
