Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dale is the self-appointed protector of a small, reclusive valley in the mountains of Mycador. The valley can only be reached by flight as the surrounding mountains are high and deadly, and even he has no idea how the small group of humans came to be here. The population is just big enough to support itself, as long as there is no catastrophe, and Dale makes sure that no such thing happens.

Shut off from the world, only knowing each other and their peaceful draconic guardian, the people of the valley are a curious bunch, living their lives without any concept of greed or war. And Dale makes sure that they keep in their protective isolation shielding them from the harsh realities of the rest of the world.
