Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Empano (his name means "start of night" in ancient draconic) likes to scare other dragons.  He will find their fears, and then play on them.  However, Empano does it all in the spirit of fun, and does not usually hurt anyone.  Surprisingly, he does not often go by the royal mint palace, because, according to him, "The little mints have a heart attack if you just say boo.  It is no fun when they are so easy to scare."

     Empano is the only father that has ever had a child die.  This makes him one of the few non-neutral dragons that truly realizes the foolishness of a war.  Despite the fact that Empano loves fear, he has decided to avoid the battle altogether.  He is officially pro-mint, but refuses to fight.
