Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Nai is a very inquisitive hatchling. Always full of energy, she bounds around the cave, trying to entice the older dragons to play with her. She's known for sticking her nose into where it doesn't belong, and as a result, often bites off more than she can chew. One of those incidents was when she unknowingly tried to pick a flower off the vine dragon Dianiia's vines. Oddly enough, Dianiia took quite a liking to Nai, and has adopted the young hatchling as something of a surrogate daughter.
