Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A spirited and youthful creature, this dragon is the result of seven generations of pure breeding among his kind. While this grants him some bragging rights, it also grants him true power; the legends of his kind's ability to cause good fortune have manifested themselves in him, and he routinely showers blessings and luck upon the well intended. It was during one such ceremony at a local festival that he met, much to his shock, a female sunsong with a story similar to his own--another creature of unmixed line who also had the ability to give luck! While the two were originally interested in each other only for simple and excitable reasons (it was so cool that they ran into each other, what were the odds!), they soon began to feel much more than that. Now a happy couple, they're eagerly awaiting the hatching of their first child--one who, as far as the records can tell, has the greatest sunsong ancestry ever known!
