Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Leafe comes from a long line of bronze tinsel dragons, being one himself. He's showy, but only in the sense that he keeps record of his lineage very carefully and likes discussing it. This sometimes puts him at odds with Glitz, who is of a similar line but doesn't bother to track it. The two get along well enough, even though there are moments when it looks like Glitz is about to rip Leafe apart.
