Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Buried in shadows, very nearly lost to time, this dragon sleeps. None know his name. None know his purpose. None save he know whether he is even alive. Under what circumstances he might awaken, and what terrible catastrophes will be unleashed when he does, none can say.

What is known, however, is this: that in a certain part of the forest far from the clans, no trees or grasses sprout, and no animals venture; that the mothers keep their young far away from the place where this dragon is thought to sleep, for it is true that they would never come back alive; that in the dark of the night, sometimes a terrified shriek can be heard, and the forest is in dismay for weeks following; that old and fearsome stories tell of this dragon leeching the life from all that surrounds it and uses it for its own; that secrets always have a cost; that this cost may one day be too great.
