Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This dragon isn't particularly interesting, but the circumstances surrounding her are. One day while sitting stone-still in the sunlight, as was her habit, a particularly vain human king stumbled across her. Taking the magnificent "abandoned statue" as a sign that his rule was blessed by the gods, he happily had the creature hauled back to his castle and set up in a prominent position in his throne room. And there the dragon was content to stay, until the day the politicians finally got too annoying and prompted her to depart, leaving a gaping hole in the castle wall in the process. The ensuing humiliation (not to mention the convenient new entrance into the castle's inner chambers) soon saw the despotic king overthrown and a far kinder one put in. The stone dragon, meanwhile, is sitting complacently in the field where she was first found, quite oblivious to her impact on mankind's history.
