Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Moonstone dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow in with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moon’s power.

Stan likes to tell jokes.  He particularly likes to entertain in front of large groups after his evening meal.  He holds his bulbous tail in front of him so that it can absorb the moon's comforting rays as he performs.  

Other dragons find his jokes very funny the first couple of times but then get bored with them.  Not wanting to be boring, Stan travels across the land quite a bit both to get the most mileage he can out of his jokes and to gather new material.  As a result, everyone loves Stan Dupp's performances.
