Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Destiny Swiftfoot is a remarkable fighter. As she grew, she developed a way to combine her excellent speed with fighting techniques she learned from the black dragons in her clan. She dashes at an opponent or prey at top speed, then uses her whip-like tail to slash, trip, or attack its vital organs, bringing it down rather quickly. The alpha male and female did not overlook her skills, and she is now one of the guardians of the clan. She hates how some of the males doubt her potential simply because she is female. Because of this, she tends to be very cold and distant to nearly every male who approaches her. She has a low tolerance for stupidity and will let her opinions be known rather quickly. Quite recently, however, she's felt completely at ease when around her mate and equal, Orion Speedgate. Surprisingly, she is very tender and loving to him, a rare sight to see when she is interacting with a male.
