And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

FebMl is the largest dragon on Tiny Island; at least, for the brief window of time she exists. Every holiday season she appears out of a haze of time magic, and once the season is gone, so is she. Nobody knows exactly where she first came from or how she got into the magical cycle she is trapped in. Her appearance heralds a time of celebration, and because she exists so few days a year she and her friends make sure to make every day count. That means there is no time for boring magical or historical research! Sometimes she feels left out because everyone she knows grows up around her, while she can only grow for the few weeks she is real. She doesn't let this get her down, however, and always looks forwards to having the opportunity to tell the next generation of wyrmlings what their ancestors were like at their ages, generation after generation.
