Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Heber is a social dragon who is never abashed and liked by most he knows. He has an inquisitive nature, and is unafraid of asking questions that could offend the subject. Perhaps due to his inclusive charm, however, other dragons answer his queries with no ill feelings.

This dragon feeds mainly on rabbits and tubers, although he will prey on deer if they are diseased or weak. He is quite cowardly, and surrenders to the mercy of a predator if his frills do not intimidate it. Often, he can be found attached to a group of humans or dragon family, seeking protection. He has no permanent lair, making a nest of grass or sleeping under a creek's overhang when he needs to rest. An alternately green and golden (as the seasons dictate) prairie defines his range, and it is large enough that there are multiple other dragons in it (including a territorial red named Elpidio, whom he avoids).
