Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Though smaller than usual for an Earth dragon, Axane holds a greater than average power over the earth, moving larger chunks of rock and dirt with relative ease, a feat which would severely tax if not be impossible for most others of her kind. Though she has a fierce temper, she is generally kind to the other dragons. Her nest is settled in a large hole in the far back of the cave. As the unofficial nanny of the cave, she is often looking after a medley of eggs and sleeping hatchlings that occupy her nest. She enjoys the thrill of the hunt, and when she is not spending her free time with her mate, Raginmund, she can be found pelting various wildlife with rocks.
