Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Sunstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. Their social structure resembles a lion pride, with one dominant male and several females banded together with their young. They prefer arid climates where they can blend in and dig for minerals and gemstones that they not only collect, but eat. The more gems they consume, the larger their tail stone grows. They are an aggressive breed; it is not uncommon to see two males battling for mates and territory.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
A pair of dragons, unhappy with their lot in life, decided to migrate for a while to a totally new habitat (but not environment. They weren't that adventurous). They took their egg with them, and despite their best efforts, picked up the language of the local humans. The couple returned home shortly after their daughter hatched, but not before they decided to give her "a nice foreign name". Thus, Ich bin ein Berliner. Hatchlings generally don't care what it means but often mock it until a snarl shuts them up, while the adults, for some reason, decided that a "Beah-lee-nuh" is a jelly-filled pastry. Because that's funny. Her tail looks like one, even! The sunstone has practiced keeping her cool around them and behaves in as dignified a manner as possible.
