It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kalico, or Kali as she likes to be known, is a very motherly figure. She looks after everyone in her clan, making sure they have enough to eat and sorting out spats. <br/>Kali was taken from her dragon mother as an egg, however the young boy that stole her wasn't able to look after her very well. One day she got lost in the forest while trying to find enough to eat. She barely managed to survive, however she found another abandoned hatchling  and they were able to hunt together. Over time she has found more dragons that have either been abandoned or run away from their dragontenders and has started a clan of her own.<br/>Unfortunately, Kali has had a falling out with her daughter, as she claims that she doesn't bring her flowers, and she has left the clan forever.
