Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A young whiptail dragon chirps excitedly to many others in her clan. "Have you ever heard of the space chickens!" This most likely causes almost every dragon in earshot to sigh. She is very supportive of the space chickens and she believes in them with all her heart. "They are going to rule the world someday, and I'll live under that rule loyally!" she will commonly say "You just wait!" She will go on for hours about the theory of space chickens and how everyone will learn a great lesson from their greatness. This young dragon is so obsessed with these tales that she even dedicated her own name to supporting the space chickens. As she says, "Chicken just HAVE to come from space!!!"
