As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

BlackWeb is a generally shy drake, especially fearing humans for the way they chased her and her former colony away every time they tried to settle. Eventually she proposed to her colony that they should fly far from the humans, over the sea. They were too afraid and would not listen, so BlackWeb went alone. She traveled far and long, stopping on islands to rest as much as possible and avoiding all creatures. Finally she was found by the leader of a colony, Song Of The Wind, who adopted her into the colony where she has happily lived for many years now.
