Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vylis is a dragon who is very, very obsessed with paper and origami. He is close friends with Not-A-Swan, a paper dragon who claims to be an origami swan cursed into becoming a dragon. He enjoys collecting many sheets of papers of all colors. Every day, he makes a special kind of art from these papers. He will spread out different colors across the ground in odd, beautiful patterns. At the end of the day, he flies over his field of paper to see the large piece of art he has created. It may be an image of a dragon, or the sky filled with clouds, or what Vylis often imagines the bottom of the ocean to be like. He will leave the paper art out until midnight for other dragons to fly over and view his masterpieces.
