Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon believes that his snout is abnormally more red than the typical Yulebuck dragon's. Whenever he manages to catch a glimpse of his reflection, he reacts by loudly exclaiming "You can even see it glow!". All of the other dragons used to laugh at his antics, though they never stooped to calling him names, until his best friend Fangfrost, a Frostbite dragon, convinced him that he didn't need to be quite so vocal about his 'non-conformity', because really everyone has something that makes them different from the rest. "Besides," says the Frostbite, "it's not like you're a spotted elephant or something! It's just a very shiny nose. Who knows, maybe it'll come in handy someday."
