Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jasmine is somewhat brash with a need to assert her dominance and stresses her desire for others to notice her. She is very vain and will spend hours attempting to wash off any bits of dirt or dust to the point of obsession. Despite her faults, she is cooperative and greatly respects her tamer, who had quite a bit of trouble with this dragon; as a hatchling, Jasmine was willful and bull-headed. Now that she has grown up, she is less stubborn, but she will refuse to do certain things, such as hunt in a place that is either wet or muddy. Jasmine will venture to the volcanic regions to hunt, but usually only on the outskirts.
