Hailing from northern climes, the Boreal Dragon prefers cold, snowy weather. A very secretive and solitary breed, they rarely descend from the mountains they call home. The breed communicates over long distances via loud, low-pitched bellows. These calls often cause avalanches at the peril of any creature unable to run or fly away to safety.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hydroborealis got fed up with living in the Northern Spires and constantly having to deal with yetis wandering through his territory. He moved to Nworset, which was a lot warmer and more crowded than he thought he would like, and rented warehouse space not far from the Nworset Spaceport. He insulated his warehouse, filled it with ice mana, and set up a business using his cold storage area to preserve perishable goods while they waited to be teleported to distant markets through the spaceport. He eventually got enough money to buy his warehouse, and built an upstairs living quarters equally insulated against the above-freezing summer weather.
