Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Byurisa is a very peaceful creature that wants nothing more than to dance in the wind. She worships her clan with gifts and respect, many dragons like her. Her bright blue eyes shimmer in the sunlight along with her purple body that glows golden in light. Byurisa has no interest in gemstones or treasure. To her, it's a waste of time and very useless. Viewing the world with peace and kindness, Byurisa is always returned with pleasant nudges by her clan mates. As an egg, this amphiptere was watched by the other amphipteres of the clan, and raised by them totally. As a hatchling, Byurisa could never learn flying right until she grew her permanent set of wings. She became a great flier and never left the air. Byurisa was cared mostly by her owner, Sherepta1 and another creature like her, Immortal Shine.
