Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Le Veau D'or is named for the Golden Calf. Such a name is suited to her, as she is a devoted worshiper of the infamous idol. She has a great love of anything and everything that glitters, paying no need to the phrase "All that glitters is not gold". However, it is hardly unusual for a dragon to enjoy sparkly baubles. Le Veau D'or takes it to a bit of an extreme, going so far as to be completely infatuated with herself--a result of her golden scales. She has found herself a place in Infame Idol's clan of golds and is quite content there, as she is constantly surrounded by other shiny dragons and is free to revel and delight in her worshiping of the golden calf.
