Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gullvor Li is perhaps the greatest source of amazement in the cave. The young ones believe she is made of solid gold, and even the elders have a hard time believing she's not. But one thing is certain, and that is she must have a heart, because she's very kind to those who aproach her, and no matter how dark the surroundings might be, Gullvor always seem to be giving off a golden shine.

However, she prefers to stay in the inner parts of the mountain, where she likes to admire her golden scales, and guarding the dragons' treasures. Some times she's even been taken for being one of them, as she doesn't even move an inch when she's sleeping of resting.
