Spotted Greenwings are relatively small nocturnal dragons. Easily recognizable by the fleshy appendages growing off of their head and rump, they are most commonly seen in forests at night, leaping and soaring from tree to tree. While generally social, spotted greenwings are very quiet and rarely make any sort of vocalization. Their bodies are unusually warm to the touch, though they are unable to breathe fire. Greenwings are voracious feeders and will consume nearly any living thing that they can fit in their mouths.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Erika is one of her owner's most prized dragons, due to their almost identical names.

Although she is rather small, she is intelligent and incredibly stubborn. She must always get her way, even if the price she pays for it is steep. It is a bad idea to argue with her, because she will never give up, especially about the large sun dragon in the sky, which the other dragons speak of, but she refuses to believe in. Making sarcastic remarks and poking fun at the other dragons are two of her favourite pastimes.

Unlike most of her species, she is not a very social creature. Erika likes to spend most of her time alone in her dark cave, which she calls home. She has trouble finding friends that accept her for who she is, but once she finds them, she is one of the most loyal friends one could ever have.

She often is found murmuring about a "Pink Floyd", whatever the means. The others just think she's crazy.
