Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Lag Monster Under The Bed is also called Laggy (even though he didn't have anything to do with the lag), because who wants to waste their breath using his full name when they want to address him. Laggy doesn't understand the concept of 'silver egg', and instead thinks they're black eggs. He has figured out that his mate, Silvera Mist, is a silver dragon, but that's it. When ever his silver eggs hatch, he thinks they are mutant black hatchies, and if a black egg ends up being a curled alt, he calls it 'another mutant black hatchie'. His opinion of an upright is unknown, as he has never seen one.
