Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Eleyc sometimes worried that he'd be remembered more for being the first aria hatched at Dragonhaven Island in years than for anything he might have done. He had little interest in extensive travel, heroics, hatchling-tending, or research, so he finally followed a few temporary researchers back to the Goldenmage Assembly, for lack of a better idea, and went from there to nearby Dragontown. Once he got done being lost and utterly confused by the ways of humans, Eleyc began looking for something, anything, that a dragon could do that wasn't already being done. He would never have expected his voice to become his most notable feature, but the local theatrical group practically fell over themselves to hire him once they heard him singing. Eleyc now spends many plays curled up in the orchestra pit, squinting at sheet music and trying not to be deafened by the percussion section. He probably won't have sagas written about his life, but at least he's finally found his place.
