Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is made out of paper, and is so small and light, you can hold it on one finger.

The pieces have rearranged themselves to form little wings which it uses to glide around.

User Description

A little paper dragon flicks to and fro among the books. Few people know of its existence in this vast library. Inari's Child was created from the love of a mother, a mother who had recently lost her only child. To calm the turmoil in the human mother's soul, the Inari monks breathed life into a tiny paper dragon with the hope to dissuade the mother's grief. Energetic, and with a cheerful demeanor, Inari's Child soothed the mother's pain. She faced a period of happiness, but her grief never dissipated, and she withered away shortly after. Being an artificial dragon, Inari's Child felt no grief itself. However, with no purpose in his existence, he was faced with disenchantment. Before his wings were lowered into the candle flame, his vague dragon instincts took over. A slight rustle and a flick was all it took for little Inari to dart away and hide amid the dusty books lining the shelves of the great library. Now, he's quite content gliding alongside his friend.
