When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Asaf is an independent dragon who swims in the belly of the seas of the world. Unlike most creatures, he spends almost all his time exploring the lightless deeps of the ocean. The deepest ravines, the flattest underwater plains, the darkest valleys are his domain.

When he comes to a new location that can be explored, Asaf moves his lair, with a collection of oddities that some might term a hoard. Gigantic barnacle shells, pieces of brilliant coral, shark teeth, wooden boat shards, quartz crystals, pearls, and chunks of pillow lava all populate his cave. The impulsive dragon carries his ever-growing cache in large sharkskin bags to each new home, where he arranges the items to taste.

Asaf has yet to find a dragon that attracts his interest, but this is ultimately due to his fairly hermetic nature. He is young, and may feel the need to mate later in his years.
