Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It gives off a glow that lights up the cave.

Look, it’s grown frills, and the glow around it has become even brighter.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

For the longest time, Bound in Golden Chains, a Frozen Gold hatchling, was rejected for being what he was. He had no friend in the world. So along came Leetle Silver Bullet, who was rejected for all the same pointless reasons; being a Frozen metallic.

The other hatchlings of the clan made fun of them, saying metallics were supposed to grow up and be great, and that they must not be great if they were made to be hatchlings forever.

Soon, there was a rumor going on between the hatchlings. It stated the two Frozen metallic hatchlings were cursed, and that any hatchling that got near them would become a Frozen hatchling.

The two of them looked to each other for acceptance.

Silver Bullet liked to take long walks away from the cave, away from the bullying. He enjoyed the scenery, especially in Autumn, when the leaves were colorful, and made piles all around.

Overall, he enjoyed the outdoors more than he did being inside a cave all day.
