This breed of dragon was thought to exist only in legend. Although their name varies between cultures, they are often referred to as “Guardians of Nature.” They are able to channel the forces of fire, ice and lightning, which allows them to wield tremendous power. Seen very rarely, it is thought that they only become active when something is threatening the territory they have chosen to guard. In order to protect their chosen home, these dragons are incredibly adaptable; they have been seen everywhere from remote mountain ranges, to ancient forests, to the darkest depths of the ocean.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This is a special dragon, a dragon of beauty and grace, a specimen of wealth and royalty. He, Grendeno, is the embodiment of his clan. To them, he is the songs of the daytime's drifting wind and the night's soft yet eerie breezes. In their eyes, he is the vigorous wisps of the flames in a fire and the treacherous thrusts of a blizzard's icy coat. He, Grendeno, is one of the two true protectors of his clan, the Uncita clan. He dwells in the in the most murky segment of the beautiful and miraculous ocean, only rising from the unfathomable depths to fight off the opponents attacking his home and family. He will raise his magnificent head and wings out of the waves that are too weak to impel him back into the water and will bellow out one of his two songs, a melody of brilliance or a call of wrath. He will not hesitate to kill his enemies, and he often performs executions in the most brutal ways possible. He is the Uncita clan's beast of the sea, and his goal is to guard his own people.
