Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Given the manipulative nature of most of the flight's silvers, it was assumed when Syrulo hatched that he would fall in with the machinations of his breed. Instead, however, he defied the legacy of his breed and fell in love with a magi dragon, an act that caused most of the proud silvers to turn him away. The fact that his love is none other than the mad but extremely powerful Forsworn, though, has led some to speculate as to whether or not Syrulo had a choice in the matter. At any rate he does not complain about his fate; he merely follows his beloved magi around with a dedication that borders on obsession.
