Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tizzy has the uncanny ability to walk in the daydreams of others, if she is emotionally close to them that is. In a mixture of natural telepathy and a lot of experience from growing up around a Daydream dad, she has learned to intrude others' dreams, watch their thoughts as little picture shows and even participate if the other dragon is willing to incorporate her into their mindscape. She met her mate Vainlord in one of his dreams and instantly fell in love with him because (there) he was the most beautiful dragon imaginable. The two have a loving and doting relationship but have actually never met in the "real" world.
