Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Musou is a dragon who was born inside the cave. Knowing that his owner did not breed him, the Gold Dragon was intrigued by his origins and decided to go back to the cave to discover them. To his horror he found that most of his race had been hunted into critical endangerment, their gold scales valued by men the world over.

Unable to discover his own parents, or, as he believes, with them unwilling to identify themselves, Musou decided to start his own family. His desire is to start a noble lineage of his own that will stretch across the land, helping to increase the numbers of his noble race to replenish those lost in the wild. He will help his kind bounce back.
