Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is so full of energy that you have a hard time keeping up with it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The rather puny frozen whiptail hatchling Fritz Blitz is the fastest of the frozen hatchlings in the cave. His mouth tends to ran as fast as his feet and wings, which gets him into trouble most of the time. He bathes in the attention he draws, and likes nothing more than impressing his fellow hatchlings. He doesn't get along well with Funaloon although they are both fun-loving dragons.

His best friend is the frozen nocturne hatchling Nico Notturno, whom he trusts with his life. When Fritz is with Nico, they fool around a lot, and Fritz feels like they will be friends forever. Sometimes, they join Aiko and Lila, who usually play catch and do acrobatics. Aiko is the official leader of their little hatchling group.
