Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Brock the Rock the stone dragon is slow-moving and slow of intellect, but never forgets the strategies and tactics he is taught by Crimson Blade and Obsidian. He is very uncomfortable inside the cave. If he had ever heard the phrase "bull in a china shop" he would recognize it as exactly the way he feels inside the cave. He is heavy and has the strength of a castle wall, but if he needs to he can roll himself up into a boulder and roll over his enemies. He sees himself as a battering ram in defense of his cave. When not with Crimson and Obsidian, he likes to sit on outcroppings of rock on the mountainside near the cave. Often, even the other dragons of the cave can't distinguish him from the surrounding rocks.
