Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Located high up a remote mountain and guarded by frostbite and ice dragons, the Snowfall Assembly is only stumbled across by the deeply determined or desperately lost. Even if the resident solstice takes pity on a lost traveler, they must still prove their worth to the Council of Winter. Anyone allowed to stay will become an expert in all forms of magic related to cold or winter.

Dash Hollyheart teaches the art of gift-giving. Given that the Snowfall Assembly is largely self-sufficient and doesn't have much contact with the outside world, the limited scope of possible presents would seem to make his class trivial. However, Dash has invented a whole set of rules based on age, social standing, and other factors. The rules govern, for example, what a trainee might give a mentor, what two dragons of similar age and status might give each other, or what a pair bonded for five years might exchange. Figuring out the right clawmade gift to give someone is thus surprisingly challenging.
