Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Dabienne considers herself above all other dragons. According to her, she is beautiful, intelligent, strong, versed in magic and seduction. In reality, most dragons steer clear of her, for her own safety. Her unbearable, self-important attitude is enough to peeve even the most peaceful dragon. She often expresses her ideas without any tact. Dabienne firmly believes that her kin represents the epitome of dragon evolution, that purebreds are superior to inbreds and that the latter should just "scram to the filthy wilderness where they belong".

Her attitude towards humans is also brazen, as she sees no reason dragons should even look down to such creatures. After a past argument with her owner, Dabienne got her so angry she exiled her. After a couple of weeks she came back, battered and starving, begging to return to the sorceress' domain. At the pleas of the most merciful dragons, she was accepted back. She hasn't talked too much to her owner since then.
