Honey Drakes are small, energetic creatures that feed almost exclusively on flower nectar, honey, and insects. The myriad scales covering their bodies protect them from the stings of angry bees as they feed from hives, though these dexterous and wily drakes rarely need the protection. Though notably silent most of the time, Honey Drakes are capable of producing a purr-like thrum that seems to calm bees down, and their ravenous appetite for nectar results in a free meal for the hive, harvested from the drakes’ own scales.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

"Frozen Poop Knife" is what happens when a seven-year-old boy is allowed to name a drake. How he came up with the name is a mystery, though he is highly amused by his ingenuity. It doesn't really matter, though, because while Frozen Poop Knife responds when called, she doesn't know what it means and never will. She simply understands that order of syllables means the humans want her attention. That same boy has been trying to teach Frozen Poop Knife to read so she could learn and be wise, but his efforts have gone nowhere. All she wishes to do is run around and play fetch and watch the bee boxes.
