Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Like the egg it hatched from, it is a very shiny gold.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Ariolimax isn't sociable and has a few close friends. She follows a lot of small, slow moving creatures to learn about them, and she's most interested in gastropods, particularly slugs. She especially likes those that match her golden hue. The critters are alone most of the time, just like she is, but sometimes, two of them will find each other and play for a few hours. While most young dragons would be terribly bored watching the slugs just slide in slow, clockwise circles, Ariolimax can comfortably keep her gaze on them without even getting fidgety. Annoyingly, an adult usually pulls her away or hides the slugs farther in the forest after a while, so she's never seen them go their separate ways after the meetup. She herself has always been pretty awkward with goodbyes and wonders how slugs go about it.
