Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Vigilus Guardios is a very noble and proud dragon, who takes his guarding responsibility very seriously.  When April brings in a new batch of eggs, he will sit in one spot for days on end, with his tail curled around them.  When they become hatchlings, he's a bit more lax in his guarding, allowing the hatchlings to roam around, but he'll gather them all in a group when they sleep so he can, again, keep his tail curled around them.  The only ones that he'll allow near eggs and sleeping hatchlings is April and Seraphil Angelum (but only if they need healing).  That, however, doesn't mean that he doesn't care about or trust the others; he's just overly protective of the eggs and hatchlings.  He knows, as well as the others, that if the time ever came, he would proudly lay his life on the line and use himself as a living shield to defend every single member of the cave, no questions asked.
